It’s really hard to compose my feelings about Twin Fantasy into a review. I listened to OK Computer one time and knew I needed to go and buy it on vinyl, which is exactly what I did. I really am obsessed. This is my fist Robyn album so, after looking at some other user reviews, I can only imagine how incredible the rest of her discography is and i'm super excited to hear. I adore this dark spacey soundscape, it feels like i'm driving on a motorway in the middle of the night with incandescent streetlights. I think the vocals take some getting used to, but that semi talk-singy tone is kind of a staple in alternative forms of rock like this. Ahead of its time for sure.
it's a pretty pleasant record but there's nothing particularly standout about it. It's more of a time capsule of those early 70s rock tropes.
