really unique album - catchy songs with brilliant lyrics. their sound oddly reminds me of Art Brut, which i mean as a good thing. some of the mixing seems a bit off however where the vocals drown out the instruments. lots of potential here though

It would be really easy to give this album a low score as it's the same sound and formula as their previous 2 efforts. Actually though, the album falters where they attempt to change it up a bit (like on Sidetrack). They're good at making indie pop records and have stuck to what they know on this one. With that being said, the high points on this record aren't as high those of The Ride and The Balcony. The lack of any exciting new sounds or ideas is also rather deflating.
