This is among the best albums Les Claypool has ever tendered. If you like Primus you'll like this album.
Like a hybrid of Mudhoney and Nirvana, The Afghan Whigs features screamily detached yet impassioned vocals, sharp guitars, and intense drumming with a clear sense of direction. Influential in its era, the band is now overshadowed by more prominent figures in grunge and alternative rock, but still worth looking into.
It's a fun little collection if you know what you're getting yourself into.
