icemid; same rhyme scheme, same drum pattern. such little heart that it could've been ai. don't get me wrong this is listenable, digestable music that i enjoyed in parts. I just find it hard to believe a grown man larping as a misunderstood m/billionaire who's feelings are hurt because other grown men don't like him. He was right about his lyrics becoming less and less relatable (and impressive)
Zay makes music that no one else could make or even fathom of making, it truly is one of a kind how he can make true introspection and growth not only listenable but enjoyable.
He rapping for sure, not sure if he rapping consciously enough to excuse the soulless, drum-less production.
a fun project which preludes her career. Does a great job blending genre and maintaining enjoyability and cohesion; i do think she has the ability to improve further in the future.
someone said this is neo 'nazi' soul and as much i agree with all the discourse around his approach and marketing towards the album; he still delivers a convincing larp. If he wants to continue in this direction he definitely needs to be more humble in his interpretation and more original.
A raw, lived-in album that really makes you respect jack more artistically. Flashes of gkmc and mdbtf but watered down and less charged.
A step down and back. Incomplete and too long with songs that are too short to get into. He sounds bored therefore i am.
Exactly what you'd expect, was left wanting more because they didn't give us enough. Wasn't the best nor worst from both of them.
Not the foggieraw i know. A boring uninspired attempt at an album. A few saving graces otherwise unintentional and unlike anything he's released prior.
This album wears so many hats which is to both its benefit and detriment. Its originality is A1, however out of this falls songs that didn't appeal to me. That being said i'm extremely impressed with all the things idk does well as he continued to provide unique album experiences.
Really intrigued me and honestly made me a fan off first listen. A unique style of chipmunk soul with bravado and unique inflections. Needs more conciseness and inspiration, a loaded 18 songs tracklist allows for repetitive flows, topic and sounds that can be bypassed by trimming down.
I see her breaking through next fs, gets me excited.
After 5 months, my opinion on this hasn't really changed. its a fun album where its strength lies in its versatility. He tries a lot of new styles this time around, and i think he lands them pretty well.
Never impacted my rotation after first listen, however i respect the attempt at artistry laroi tries to encourage. It falls into being more corny than impactful.
