The second Swans album is basically more of the same you've heard on "Filth" but cranked up high. "Filth" was slow, "Cop" is a lot slower... "Filth" was very heavy, "Cop" is almost metal... Rough, brutal, very heavy, sludgy, full of repetitions (lyrically and musically) rock/ no wave album. I've read somewhere the review of the newest album "The Beggar" and reviewer said "definitely not for the fainthearted". THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR THE FAINTHEARTED. It's noisy, tiring (although it runs "only" 37 minutes), unnerving, disturbing and just ugly music - like the whole new wave movement.
