Aggressive and bitter all the way through, 2Pac expresses his anger and paranoia through baroque sounds and dissonant melodies.
Mostly just really boring Country Pop songs with a hint of Hip Hop to them. I guess some are fine? I'm really hoping Oliver doesn't mess up like this after this one, he has so much potential.
Earl reaches the light of the tunnel that shined slightly on Riot. Still hurt but he's not in the dark anymore.
i loved this album, but with its flaws it feels like a worse version of tlop, the inconsistency feels unintentional and it kinda ruins it for me. i could definitely see ye change this over the course of a few months
i think some of the tracks here are honestly pretty enjoyable, only being setback by some weak performances and production, if every other track were like follow god and selah i wouldve enjoyed this a lot more.
this seems to be tyler finally coming to terms with the feelings he dealt with on flower boy and igor, hes a happy boy now as far as i can understand. the production is great as always, though i think how the features came in were a bit rough, as they go along it starts to fit with the song so im not too mad about it. this is tyler's best so far.
the drums on top of the distorted synth sound in the background is so sussy baka its gonna make me act up anyways i really doubt the rest of the album is gonna sound like this but if it does sound like this i will be satisfied
really the only thing i can say positively about this album is the two tracks jocelyn flores and revenge, but those tracks are seperated by tracks that sound very melodramatic, like what is he even trying to say on depression and obsession? the trippie redd feature on fuck love is very much a trippie redd feature. the outro just sounds like it could be in the other sea of tracks, if i put this on shuffle i would feel no difference at all. i dont like this album its not swag at all
idk about you but i think this is joji's best, the delivery of his vocals sound like hes on the verge of defeat yet he still wants to try, the production (though i think is a bit flawed) bounces off his vocals really well. overall i like this album i think its quite good
an unironically really refreshing hip hop album, the reverse sampling is something i havent really heard been used much before and this album still sounds fresh after 15 years
on this album, joji shows his improvement on production and singing. the core elements to a joji project are still here with the gentle instrumentation and the repetitive but melancholic lyrics and i think its done a lot better than his past albums, but it just sucks that the second half is incredibly weak compared to the first.
