oh i see so there was a reason not to trust my dentist cool cool im writing that down
Oh my god. I've been anticipating this record for a while now, but I feel like I just need to stress this again: oh my god. Heavenly production of near every track, the perfect music to fade off into the sunset with a lover to. Also oh my god this is the first new Sonya Kitchell song there's been in years, I hope she comes back.
Favorites: Close To The Knife, A Dreamer's Dream, Highway Reverie, Voyage to the Stars, God Machine, Copenhagen Mannequin
Funny that it's the first Bon Iver project I've sat through fully when it'll probably end up being his last. This is just really damn good, and really reminiscent of Frank Ocean for some reason (I might just be coping).
Favorites: THINGS BEHIND THINGS BEHIND THINGS, S P E Y S I D E, Walk Home
This is actually such a fun little ep. I'm glad he seems like he's enjoying himself, I hope everybody else enjoys him too. Most fun project I've listened to in quite a while, the hype is building for the actual Dreamboy album.
I guess I don't have much more to say.
Favorites: DREAMBOY, BIG DUMMY!, need dat boy
Then they go and release this. Looking like an early contender for song of the year. Something about it man... I just can't put words to it. if you're seeing this, just listen to it. I love it so, so much.
Blue Foundation unsurprisingly delivers. For fans of shoegaze, this is a great project. I wish more people knew about this band for songs other than Eyes On Fire. Dude, why did Twilight have to make them into one hit wonders? This shit is peak.
Ummm....
This project has everything.
Ghost, Hero Across the Sky, Equilibrium, Enemy, Stuck In A Hard Place... so many more. There's just so much on this thing to love. This album takes me back to a simpler time, and I love it for that. And the fact that it's truly just a damn good album.
One of the craziest, most out there projects I've heard. A left turn from the band, though this seems to be where they had been building. The pinnacle of weirdness, the pinnacle of beauty.
Best Tracks: Just A Hand, Broken Life, Fundamental, Lost, Ground Control, Describe, Hoshi no tame no komoriuta
always great to see a new release from blue foundation... so excited for their new album. Close To The Knife is one of their finest work to date, with heartbreakingly done vocals and lyrics over some of their best instrumentation to date. This six minute track, a call to a lover across stages of their relationship, the spring, the fall, the aftermath; is one of Blue Foundations' most eloquent tracks, truly the pinnacle of all the sounds they have been experimenting with in their time, just ... read more
For just how many movies I've seen needle drop Svefn-g-englar, I see very few people talk about this incredible album. Maybe I just run in the wrong circles, but who knows? If you're looking at this review, you've probably either a) seen most of the reviews for this album already or b) are coming from my page. If you're option a, you don't need me to explain to you why this album is so brilliant. If you're b, let me let you in on a little secret. I'm writing ... read more
MMM! HEAT!
I learned about this album through the blessed spotify algorithm. I heard 'Domestic Scene' on some spotify mix and thought, "Hm, this is fire." I added it to one of my playlists and thought nothing more of it.
A bit later, I heard 'Heaven's On Fire' on another spotify mix and thought, "Wow, this is fucking amazing!" and added it to one of my playlists. At this point, I made the connection, and fell in love with their bittersweet sound.

Gave myself a few days of listening to digest this album -- I don't like the immediacy complex that seems to have developed these days. I see that the album's been getting positive reviews, and that's nice to see. I can't help but wonder if over time they'll stay where they are.
First, I should just say: I like this album quite a bit. It absolutely had the chance to grow even more on me over time, as 2019's "IGOR" did, as many of the tracks on this album ... read more
God, I feel like an asshole. With how much this album was hyped up before I'd heard it, I was expecting this album to completely blow me away. I got through the first song, an interlude, and I was waiting. I got past FEEL., and I was still waiting. I knew this album had HUMBLE., which of course I'd heard before. This was my first Kendrick album, and maybe not the one to start with. Everything I'd heard had him as the master lyricist and storyteller, but asides from XXX. and ... read more
