Holy shit, how the fuck did he surpass Tetsuo with this one? This is framed, at least in its cover, if not its tracklist as a lighter sequel to 2015's Tetsuo & Youth, and boy does it do it's job. This might be controversial, but hell even MS. MURAL might be better than the original. Amazing record by Lupe, reaffirming his place (at least in my mind) as one of the best of all time, as well as having one of the most solid discographies of any hip-hop artist of this ... read more
Yeah, this is just about the worst music I've ever heard. Sorry bud, hope you sober up soon.
LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS: all of them
It's not as bad as people say, though it certainly has some flaws. Overall, while Lupe does not excel with a whitewashed, radio-friendly, hyper-mainstream sound, he does his best with it. It's very clear he tried to salvage the project as best he could despite the aggressive studio meddling, and I can't fault him for that.
Side note, it's also really ironic that 'State Run Radio' is on this album.

Hottest music take of the century? Tetsuo & Youth should've won Rap Album of the Year over TPAB back in 2015.
Honestly, any album that has BOTH Prisoner 1 & 2 and Mural deserves at least a 90, it doesn't even matter what the rest of the tracklist sounds like. Those two songs were created in heaven and surpass any other hip-hop songs I've ever heard.
FAVORITE TRACKS: Mural, Dots & Lines, Prisoner 1 & 2, Little Death, Chopper, Adoration of the Magi

Damn, this is way too low. Easily the most underappreciated and underrated album I've ever listened to. That being said, it's not hard to underappreciate an artist when she has only 4k monthly listeners on Spotify, and probably half of those are for her collaboration with Blue Foundation.
Reminiscent of the vocals from the Oh Hellos, with beautiful lyricism and production, a stripped back style with nothing too fancy, it's a surefire way to create a pretty damn good indie-folk ... read more
Oh yeah, this is it. I probably won't be able to say anything that no one else on here has said already, so: Beautiful. Brilliant. Magnificent. I love Sufjan Stevens now, looking forward to listening to every one of his albums.
Incredibly underrated by the few people who've listened to it. Personally, easily one of my favorite albums I've listened to. Many tracks seem inspired roughly by late Beatles era psychedelia and rock, with the album having an overall much tamer and mainstream-friendly sound than their previous albums (though that's not necessarily a bad thing in this case).
The album starts and ends with a high, 'Nothingness and No Regrets' being a banging intro to the album and ... read more
