**I already reviewed this album some time ago, but since it's my birthday today, I wanted to revisit my thoughts and make some slight improvements to what I had to say about my all-time favorite album**
CURRENT REVIEW:
Before I get into the actual review, I want to say that “Sound of Silver” has been a favorite of mine from the moment I first heard it, so I am more than slightly biased. Now that we've gotten that straightened out, let me tell you why I love it so much. ... read more
Eighty keeps on dropping amazing, futuristic electropop bangers. She always has had this really great ability to make hooks that stay in your head forever without being annoying and has done it once again. I feel this really interesting undertone of sarcasm in the repeated "I feel fantastic," which grows stronger each time it is repeated, and the production is really great here as well. When it comes to artists that fell out of popularity after that whole 2020-21 hyperpop bubble ... read more
Although I was never that big into April's artistic output, I've been aware of the internet hyperpop bubble for a few years now, and in consequence of underscores' newest ventures. Thus, when I caught wind of this album's lead single, I decided to check it out immediately, and to my surprise, I was 100% into it. The group's 2018 project has the same violent, explicit themes as the rest of their stuff, but on here, I felt like it leaned into a more sinister direction, both sonically and thematically, which was ... read more
While this definitely is the South Korean artist's most recognizable LP, I genuinely don't think it's his best. That's not to say it's a bad album, because it absolutely isn't, but since my introduction to his work, I simply find it to be no more than a demonstration of where he started out. In my opinion, To See the Next Part of the Dream's greatest strength is without a doubt how emotive the vocals are, often giving the listener a certain level of ... read more
