Sat on a bus and listened to it back to front twice. Happily. Great sounds, would very easily do it again.
A staple in the Australian garage rock scene, The Drones produce a unique and sombre sound strongly led by 'Shark Fin Blues' and 'Baby'. A very good album, hard to go wrong with these guys.
An extremely important and uncomfortable listen - war is supposed to make us feel this way. This is a historical piece and an eye opener.
Only a couple of tracks worth coming back to. In absolutely no rush to re-listen to this album.
A couple of Radiohead esk bangers in there but leaves a little to be desired. Can't complain pretty good.
Hats off to Thom Yorke's therapist, they have put in a serious performance here. One of the greatest plays of the 20th century.
This is a genuine atmospheric gem. Nothing quite like it. Give you a whole ride of feelings and nuances that you can't quite put your finger on, but harbours curiosity to go back to it later. Crazy stuff.
Definitely her best. Most likely permanently altered my brain chemistry when I was 16 so there's that too.
Florida Kilos : 10/10
Ground breaking in the 60s or whatever and all I get that but honestly sorta over rated. Heroin (the song) bangs tho cant take that away from them.
