Don't let the opinion of children lead you astray, this is another excellent album by the UK's best current post-punk band.
The singles left me puzzled, but it was the same for Stumpwork before it came out. Each song is like a part of a face, like an eyebrow or a chin, and album is the full portrait.
Interesting -- although a bit precious -- production choices by the band and Cate LeBon.
The only critic review so far is from Pitchfork, and it reads like a lot more than a 7.0. It feels like the author is saying "The album is wonderfully unique and powerful, but also ugly and challenging, so the average listener will find it repulsive therefore it's just a 7, never mind, it's not as great as I've been describing it."
