The peak of lofi rock! Her masculine voice, flawless rock instrumentals and sprinkles of her freaky thoughts
Liz’s insanely cool personality shines throughout this record and there are no signs of second thoughts she just lets it all out there
Phair’s writing is raw and sharp and theres nothing shes afriad to write about
This album is like a niche, underground hot magazine that you heard some gossip about and it led you into a whole new world
For me its really special
What I like about this is their witty personality mixed with the realness and desire
That thrown on to the groovy jangle pop production made it really likeable
They are not trying to glaze it and its therefor very genuine and really shows who the smiths are
This album is filled with emotion, jeff puts his sorrow feelings into every song
It shifts between being gentle and aggressive
Such a gentleman, makes u wanna just give him a hug
Very pretty album
His vocals are soft and filled with lots of emotion and theres also cool folk/rock instrumentals
Lyrics on this record are very personal and honest
Overall this either feels like a warm hug or makes u wanna cry
This is just really good rock music, what makes it special is their cool attitude and its swaggy rythms
Also pretty experimental especially towards the end where u just live in the wild instrumentals, there are no signs of fear on this record
Only reason its not perfect is bc it came out in 67
Wow, this album gives me like gloomy nostalgia and awakes wierd emotions in me, like if my past life was like Lilya 4 ever or Mysterious skin and im reliving my memories if that makes sence, they really nailed the shoegaze vibe on this
The sounds just drive by and i float through them, its a mix of smooth eeire songs and some more nostalgic rock sounding ones
Its very smooth and ends almost too meloncholy and emotional with the closing track dagger (which is in my fav movie btw)
