I thought this album dished out some bangers, I do think that overall it lacked cohesiveness with the various of interludes and the woke up remixx, but overall for a debut very good, vocals were lovely, rapping was pretty good, production was standard for the genre, so yeah, hopefully they continue this quality.

Flower Face - Girl Prometheus
100

I thought this was fantastic. It perfectly captures the idea of being blindsided by heartbreak and all the things that happen during those moments: Depression, Self-destruction, Bliss, Anger, and Closure. As for musical elements, I thought it was precise and meaningful, it invokes so many feelings, chills, heart dropping moments, the whole nine. Flower Face has a district voice, different from the rest, its soft, pretty, and there's real feelings in the vocal deliveries. The hooks, ... read more

Ab-Soul - Soul Burger

As for overall music capability, this is one of Ab-Souls weakest albums. Although the themes are heartwarming and dedication to a late friend of Soul. The flows weren't amazing, prod. Could've been more precise, and as for replayability, there is none to offer and unfortunately, I believe this album will probably age poorly.

Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake 2

This album was a cash grab, if anything. Uzi's writing, production, and flow are pretty bad. I respect the themes Uzi is trying to explain, such as alienation and isolation, but it falls flat on its face. Pretty disappointed.

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
90

After listening to CHROMAKOPIA over 15 times I am ready for a review.

CHROMAKOPIA by Tyler, The Creator is another masterful collection of music. Tyler speaks on many topics but a recurring theme is maturing in life. Tyler's mom's advice is scattered throughout the album trying to keep Tyler's "light on" while Tyler deals with the greatest hurdles of adulthood.

St. Chroma is a wonderful opener to this album, at first the whisper verses through a third of the song ... read more

System of a Down - Toxicity
100

This is the best metal record I have heard to date.

The albums main theme has to deal with topics of critiquing authority, cultural identity and environmental issues.

Prison song is an amazing opener where they talk about political corruption and Injustice, this track confronts the flaws of the United States prison system, addressing the war on drugs and systemic issues that affect marginalized groups. It mainly discusses the mass amounts of incarceration as a method to repress these groups ... read more

Skegss - Pacific Highway Music

There are many things to love and hate about this album. While the group keeps high energy, and the feeling of nostalgia throughout the album, they also produce a lot of trash, slow based songs that serve no purpose other to bore out the listeners. The closer especially is super plain and basic and clearly the worst song of the entire track list and ending the album this way, in my opinion, discredits anything they did previously. I did find majority of songs pretty good and this definitely ... read more

AUDREY NUNA - TRENCH
90

"TRENCH" by Audrey Nuna is a genre-blending album that explores themes of identity, mental health, and resilience. Combining pop, R&B, and hip-hop influences, Nuna's introspective lyrics are paired with dynamic production. The project showcases her unique voice and artistry, reflecting her journey through personal challenges and self-discovery. I really enjoyed disc 2 a little more because of the experimental sounds that came from it, although I did not care for Teezo's ... read more

ian - Goodbye Horses

Goodbye Horses by ian is a uninspiring album. I am not going to slander him by comparing him to anyone, I am just going to talk about the material. ian talks a lot about spending money, doing drugs, and being lonely. I would say I feel bad for him but to be honest most of his problems are his own doing. The production, for the most part is lazily put together and unoriginal. Sxprano's tag is literally the most annoying thing on this album and he literally spams the fuck out of it. ... read more

Yeat - LYFESTYLE
70

Yeats performance on "lyfestyle" has many good and bad things about it: while Yeat continues to preform with high energy, it seems to me like the music drowns out anything he's saying. I think the idea of the album is based on, and obviously with the title, Yeat's lifestyle after claiming fame, many topics that are constant in this are drugs, even though he claims sober, luxury items like diamonds, fast cars, and designer lifestyles. Yeat talks to a lot of different people ... read more

English Teacher - This Could Be Texas

What a fantastic debut album. This LP has so much to offer and is especially unique in the world of indie pop. During my few listens, I felt so many different emotions, I felt like a punk teen defying my parents rules, to a sad man alone in my room on a saturday night. The musical components were really well done and amazingly performed. The vocals were beautiful and filled with a lot of passion and I really enjoyed the spoken word interludes at the end and in the middle of most songs. Very ... read more

XXXTENTACION - 17

This one album may not be as long as traditional LP's but the overall content within the album is so strong, even if you're the most happy person in the world, you can still feel the emotion of sadness, the multiple stories that X tells throughout the album about his own hardships really shine through. Jocelyn Flores is a heartbreaking ballad to X's late friend who he couldn't save because he had no idea the troubles she was going through and these are his thoughts during ... read more

Charli xcx - BRAT

This is definitely my favourite pop albums of the year. Charli was proven herself to be the top of the food chain when it comes to creating club type pop music, my only problem with the album however, and this is a personal thing, is that I would prefer if this album was completely club music and not some slower paced songs.

"@gheist hey!, I’m lowkey trying to get into cloud rap, and i’ve heard xav through some friends, still trying to understand it as I do like more conscience hip hop, Im not putting xav into the likes of kendrick because of course they’re 2 different worlds when it comes to music but I still want some cool bars, and most importantly I want the music to make me feel something and unfortunately this EP hasn’t done it for me."
