It's loud, but once again, a crucial step in his development as an artist
Looking at his career as a whole, you can really see where some of his ideas and musical styles originate. For the most part, this album really created Tyler as we know him to day, and should be respected for creating one of the best hip-hop artists, and one of the best musicians, of the current era.
I LOVE IT (charli xcx reference)
I just wish he spent time curating the album as a whole, it's like he focused on making a bunch of songs then just threw them together.
No denying it's a great album, but come on, it's not his best, and it's not the best hip hop album of the past decade.
This album will never get the respect it deserves. Yes, it was highly influential on hip-hop, but I feel genuine emotion from these tracks. I feel connected to how he feels, even though I haven't gone through a similar experience.
Is this his most cohesive album? Let's see!
(also, i'm a day one sao paulo supporter...)
