After hearing the backstory of this album, it hits even harder. It sort of combines all of Sufjan's strengths. Beautiful

I have nostalgic memories of listening to this on my dad’s mp3 player but coming back to it, it holds up incredibly well. The production sounds crisp and it does everything right that alot of 80s metal does wrong. The concept is pretty cool and the songs are well written. Essential Prog-metal album!

It'll take some time for me to gather my thoughts on this album, for now let’s just call it a masterpiece!

Insanely good!

Separating the art from the artist can be difficult, but this album is a milestone in hip-hop! It doesn’t flow as well as I wish it would and the ending doesn’t work for me as much as the rest does, but overall this thing is incredible!

This is some extremely solid prog-rock! Sure it sounds very 70's but that’s not necessarily a bad thing!

Didn’t know what to expect with this album and was completely blown away by the sheer beauty! Incredibly emotional but also calming!

This is great! Part of me wishes that the middle section was a bit more out there and chaotic like the beginning, but then again the whole album is incredibly cohesive and flows beautifully!

Perhaps life life isn’t as dark as it seems to be…
