It has been a very long time since I have been floored by a Singer Songwriter album. Blue is remarkable, even for the impatient type such as myself. I loved every moment here. Every song has a place, and purpose. The theme is strong, and consistent. I really am surprised that this thing lived up to the hype for me, but it really did blow me away
Joni Mitchell's lyrics have this amazing and incomprehensible ability to make me feel like everything is going to be okay, even when I'm feeling sad.
If River didn't put you in your feels, then you dont have feelings
sitting in a field of flowers in a big pretty dress staring at the sky and eating pastries
Mother of all folk albums, this is the bar that's been set for singer-songwriter music to me because I feel the genre really underwrites for a singer-songwriter records. Kind of being a bit generic for it's stories, but Blue is so lyrically layered and detailed that it feels like a personal diary entry in album form. Such a good record
