If i have to compare this to UL I would say collectively I liked this album better. Perhaps instead of releasing 34 songs in 6 months they should have just cut the fat and used the stronger tracks of both albums and make one! Unlimited Love feels like exactly where I thought they’d be. Most of the album sounds like a bit of blend of all their other 11 albums from funk/rock/punk/alternative/melodic/psychedelia/pop.
By no means is this album’s sound ground-breaking for this group. They made a contemporary 2022 RHCP record. Die hard fans will appreciate John’s return and (guitar) sound to this album.
