I really don’t understand the hate on this at all. I think the internet forgets how to act sometimes. I remember in 2015 everyone was acting like she was the shit. In fact people in school would always joke and call me Meghan Trainor because I had her first name.

Anyway, this album was pretty good to me. I loved the energy. I thought some of the melodies were really catchy and cute here. I love how some of the songs were reminiscent of her older hits.

Ok..... where to begin

I'm just gonna say this plainly: I didn't like this album very much. I think the mixing/recording is extremely bland. I don't think the songs are all that well-written, and her voice is extremely underwhelming and uninteresting. The only songs I can say that I genuinely liked or cared about where the tracks "Neither You Nor I" and "Stupid Bitches." That's it. Ok so this was interesting and unexpected.

I have to admit that before listening to this album I checked them out on Instagram and scrolled through some YouTube posts. I thought their acoustic covers of their songs were excellent. Unfortunately, I think that may have contributed to my lower score on this album, simply because I thought the live versions were better than the studio recordings. The over-production on this has to be the worst thing about this album. For instance, I think if I took an AI song and put it along a song on this album I could not tell the difference. The production is ridiculous and the artist does not sound any different from anyone else you would hear on a target ad or on the radio.
