I love me some Maynard when he's at his peak and, on paper, an album exploring the anger and daily struggle of navigating 2026 discourse could be a winner.

Runs at a frenetic clip, with many of its 21 songs clocking in at under two minutes. Personally I love it - no one idea outstays its welcome, giving enough time to capture a single emotion or thought then moving on. Joji's musical palette is varied and consistently interesting, bouncing between silky-voiced ballads and heavily-distorted, higher BPM cuts, with lots explored in between too. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.
I struggled for a while to figure out how I was going to grade this album - on the one hand, there is a 12-14 track album contained within that would be a stone cold classic, unquestioningly up there among the very best of Cole's discography. On the other, we have a long, meandering, 24 track opus that I honestly felt tired of by the end of its 1h40m runtime.

Fun little appetiser before The Fall Off. Cole showing off his penmanship over some legendary hip hop beats. None of the four tracks would trouble my top ten Cole songs, but all four are still a good time.
An interesting and varied album, with great vocals and deep, rumbling guitars paired with more standard rock melodic choruses. Production is lush, to the point it could turn some off who are seeking a more raw kind of feel, but I found it a thoroughly entertaining listen.
