Probably one of the more underrated and seldom talked about Alternative rock albums from the 2010's. There's an interesting level of chemistry between Tom and the Rubin brothers. A very solid and consistent album that combined a more rawer Alternative rock sound and the more classic AVA space/dream-like rock sound.
The most focused and locked in that Tom and AVA have been in a long time.....A triumphant return to form (pun intended). In a world filled with sloppily produced and terribly mixed pop/rock records by legacy Rock musicians and bands. This an actual gem of a record. I hope we get another AVA record or one more tour.
Laden with dark humor and visceral imagery. Bob Mould's subconscious tribute to 'Debaser' by The Pixies is nothing short of jarring and enticing.
A 90's folk-pop ballad that still manages to sound intimate and raw. One of the more underappreciated singles from the 90's.
