Where to even begin with this record? This is the album that, in my opinion, solidified Death Grips as one of the greatest hip hop acts of the 2010s. The Money Store, from the first track to the last, is a masterpiece in experimental hip hop. It's an unrelenting cacophony of sound that grabs the listener by the fucking balls and doesn't let go. MC Ride is an uncompromising rapper, yet in spite of his aggressive flows and dark, cryptic lyricism, he still manages to deliver some of the catchiest ... read more
Seriously this is classic modern hip-hop album, it has over 20 tracks but it not skippedable track it all, the life of pablo really have several underrated tracks
Piñata had been a long time coming by the time it dropped, with a four year span of singles and speculation behind the 2014 release. Thuggin' was a monster - Deeper was insightful and introspective. This spawned curiosity: could Freddie Gibbs, a primarily mixtape artist at the time, successfully carry out this peculiar companionship with Madlib? Only Built 4 Cuban Linx is excellent production on this thing with more boom that beats great energy.
But generally more of a focus on organized crime and drug dealing throughout this album.
I think if anything really truly holds this album in retrospect it's that again, just the sound and the production of the album in general just sounds very much in line with that early wu's style and everything else other respective wu-tang members.
This album is legit. It has those elements for sure. ODB is yelling, singing, it over the top. There is a lot of shit you can compare to now. Lyrically it so grimmy. I love it
Madvillainy proves itself kind of a game changer when it comes to abstract and underground hip hop
one of the greatest voice in rap, some of the greatest and most inventive and forward-thinking production in rap within the history
To me this record is them at their peak and really one of their major peak of 80s hip-hop in general
It's still an album that even though i'm well familiar, i still continue to just, you know find new details, find new little messages and beats in a lot of these tracks.
I'm literally obsessed with this album, the production, the concept, the transitions, Morgan Freeman, Homelander, and Don Toliver, but i want to say Mustafa really ruin the song, i don't get the vibe on it
Kendrick Lamar's second studio album good kid M.a.a.D city is easily Kendrick's most accessible album. If you have never listened to Kendrick before, this is where you should to start. All beats are very chill and enjoyable, plus it has a good amount of bangers. You could put it in the background while you go on with your daily activities and have a great time. However, this album truly shines when you pay attention to Kendrick's lyrics. Here Kendrick tells the story of his troubled upbringing ... read more
before odd future, this is literally a most fun album with great style of rapping
