favorite part... the fun track list of wordplay which took longer to read than the album
I was thinking how the catalog of vintage bluegrass posts are pretty rare on this site. Pert near your standard fine-pickin and mornful fiddle sound bluegrass , but this album has one of my favorite vintage bluegrass songs of that time..."Head of the Holler". I just like the lively sound and cuttin' up southern humor of bluegrass lyrics in this one.

Ivor Cutler has quite a discography, and most likely an odd quirky wordy tune for anyone can be fond in thum !
Fun lyrics 60's sounding novelty nuclear song heard last night on a vintage "The Hour of Slack" - Church of the SubGenius tape #001 . If you like odd quirky songs and don't succumb to the powerful praisings of Bob and Slack, it is something to seek out.
This is the cover art of the single it was from.

I know most would dismiss this lo-fi sound/voice...Maybe it takes a certain mindset to enjoy this quirky song but "Blue Angel" just pops into my mind sometimes, like tonight. Other recommendations similar to this ?
super surprised when this track list scrolled to ...? ! ! !
Goes in my AOTY oddities list !
excellent movie and soundtrack ... more puzzling evidence ?
one of those spoken word albums that gets into the nitty gritty of life .
not sure exactly what this album is , but it is one of those you remember as a bit different...at least to me it is. Some of it is pretty expected styles from what has become a popular sound there, and then mixed in are many songs that veer off like "3gGys at Koedame" . I really would love hearing more odd albums like this from Japan.
Love these kinds of compilations !
My favorite soundtrack of all time. So many different genres in one movie ! Starting off the movie with the energetic Bollywood sound of Mohammed Rafi "Jaan Pehechaan Ho" which gives a glimpse into how even that sound can be unexpected. Many classic early blues songs which fit nicely into the story. Even bringing lesser known vintage world music into the mix with Lionel Belasco with the memorable "Venezuela" and "Miranda". Whoever created the soundtrack had a lot ... read more
The soundtrack seasons blend really well with the style of the show. If you like instrumental "library music", you'll most likely enjoy the consistent soundtracks. Nothing earth-shattering, but it's a nice prelude in a playlist. The show itself was amazingly refreshing in its own way. Recommend watching a few episodes !
"Numbers with Wings" is that classic power pop sound. Not sure why this group didn't get the recognition of that era. Maybe because of the name of the group. I'm not sure that any songs in their discography features bongos.
memorable song "Machines" ....interesting YT video of the song !
the solos on " Brooklyn " are amazing if you love modern brass bands !
favorite piece "Wenu Wenu" ....song could have been quite a few minutes shorter but really like that kind of upbeat sound from the Sahara ! Want to find more that lead me on that path.
memorable song "ain't talkin bout love"... one of my favorite cover songs ever !
