it left a good taste in my mouth. shaping up to like the sad boi / drain gang cloud trap stuff that's been coming out these past few years. i've only listened to EXETER and this, but if it's as good as this stuff, ill like it. the trap beats are kinda generic, and the hooks get kind of repetitive and annoying after a while, but the verses and instrumentals are fucking great.

this is my first time listening to RMR, and this is really good. really light and nice vocals and good bars when he needs to have them.

Great production. I started watching Community last year and can't shake the idea of Troy doing this record. Favorites are 0.00, Time, 19.10, 39.28, and 42.26.

The only PEGGY album / project I've ever heard. I knew he existed when AMHAC dropped and Twitter went wild, but I didn't listen to it. Finally listening to VETERAN and I really enjoy this. Sometimes tracks drag on for too long, but most tracks are short, sweet, and very different, leading to a wonderful listening experience. Favorites are 1539 N. Calvert, Panic Emoji, I Cannot Fucking Wait Until Morrissey Dies, and 1488.

Westside Gunn has never impressed me. Most of his shit is lackluster trap and hArDcOrE shit, and it's never gotten hold of me. I hate Gunn's lyrics and voice, and the only decent thing about this album is probably the features. And I've heard albums only good within their features, but this is elevating it. The good thing about this album are the features! The production is pretty good, but I don't know man. My only favorite is 327.

This album reminds me of EARL-era Earl Sweatshirt. It's a perfect ode to the sounds of abstract rap from 2007 - 2013, and since IDK has been catching my eye for some time now, I find the album good and a little nice thing to listen to if you're missing that style from those days. However, since it's that, IDK doesn't bring up enough new ideas for me to care about every single song, and is more of a background noise thing. It's unfinished. If Ye put some unreleased tracks like Up From the Ashes and LA Monster on it and fixed mixing, added some features that weren't fucking Ant Clemons for the 80th time, we would get somewhere. Okay, Uzi, Eternal Atake and LUV vs the World 2 were good, don't get me wrong, but this "diss" of Carti is... lackluster. Even if you didn't do that godawful baby impression to try to mock Carti, the lyrics on this are ass and your ego has gone to your head. Ahhh! This is probably the best album of 2014 - and it isn't even their best (that would be RTJ3). It seems that with every release, El-P's production gets better and Mike's rapping gets better. Every strength with RTJ1 is amplified, and most problems with RTJ1 are eliminated, giving you a pretty fun listening experience, however the reason it's not 95 - 100 is because in the middle, it gets a little dry without presenting new ideas.
