An album that almost feels illegal to listen to. Swift bares open her inner demons for this one, sharing her fears and hopes (the prophecy), her childhood experiences (The Bolter) and her present conundrums (How did it end?). Taking the reader through a myriad of moments that would otherwise be left deep inside the vault and probably even in her mind, never to be spoken of or heard. The production, primarily bby Aaron Dessner, compliments this cathartic inner demons cleansing songwriting. While ... read more
Excellent album. Miley's vocals paired with the relatable lyrics and blood pumping rock production make for an absolutely excellent experience. This is personally the sound that fits Mikey Cyrus best and highlights and vocal tone to the fullest. The entire album is filled with moments that give you chills bring you to tears to make you want to have a full on dance break in the middle of the street. Certainly her best album by far. Highlights: Night Crawling, Angels like you, High
A somewhat downgrade from her previous release, especially coming off the highs of plastic hearts and endless summer vacation. A lot of the times the production is jarring and the writers and producers themselves seem to be confused about what they wish to make for Miley to sing. The songs essentially lack substance. Making this whole album far weaker. Miley herself though sounds as good as she always does, her voice is a classic in itself. Making up for the lack of substance, but you can only ... read more
Arguably Sunmi's best Ep to date. She remains true to the title song on this album and is most certainly a siren with her hauntingly enchanting voice. The production is compelling and plays with your ears giving them a sense of satisfaction that is rarely heard in modern day Kpop. Overall an exceptional listen. Highlights: Siren, Black Pearl
A quintessential piece of Sunmi's music. This song has it all that is best of Sunmi. Her beautiful and classic vocals, Her good songwriting and the amazing retro style production that has become her signature sound. This song is certainly at the zenith of her discography. That deserves to be known and heard. A must listen for anyone who is unfamiliar with Sunmi's work.
Sunmi's sultry vocals are her biggest asset and she knows it, never shying away from making the ears feel pleased. The production on the album is also excellent. The synths are quite good especially on songs like "Call", you can't sit with us and Narcissism. Her herself and personal song borderline is also moving but leaves the listeners wishing they got to know more. Overall a good listen and definitely worth listening.
After years away, Taylor Swift comes back to her country roots, and what a comeback it is. As always Taylor's pen is at its best when it comes to nostalgia. The song describes perfectly Jessie and her owner's history and relationship over the 5 Toy Story movies. Showcasing Taylor's mastery in bringing to life fictional characters (as she previously showed in folklore). Taylor's evergreen voice narrates her lyrics in a warm tone, fitting the tone that is surely of the movie ... read more
Outstanding lyrics, amazing production and beautiful vocals. This album offers it all. Taylor's voice at this point is a classical instrument on its own. Not for the range but for how it immediately attracts listeners and demands their attention towards the lyrics through which she pours her heart out. Considered her magnum opus and standing the test of time for a reason. Highlights: All too well, Holy ground, Treacherous, the last time, sad beautiful tragic
Overall a fantastic album. The highlight of the album are certainly Sabrina's sultry vocals which she uses extensively, by layering them and creating moments that make the listeners ears feel truly pleasured, Such as during the final chorus of we almost broke up again. Many songs on the albums are growers, may take several listens to get into atleast personally. The songwriting is also witty in many songs, however at times too on the face (such tears which to me is the weakest song on the ... read more
The album written majorly by Sunmi showcases her excellent songwriting prowess, her understanding of staying true to a concept thematically and her ability to mold herself to various genres. Her production compliments this writing, never going too bold unless the lyrics demand it. The album foremost showcases Sunmi's exceptional understanding of her own vocals and never exceeding the limits. Which makes the songs sound a perfect fit to her voice (Example is the song bath). Her breathy and ... read more
