I'm kinda baffled at this man's consistency, No matter what he tries, it's still all minda MEH.
Never completely vibed with Future’s super mumbly voice, but it’s picked up by Boomin’s bars, goofy features and banging beats.
It’s pretty alright.
Last year, I did a Taylor Swift discography dive. Liked most of the stuff I heard, loved some, and felt very indifferent/hated a small portion of it. I say this to put into context why I don’t like this album and feel it is Taylor’s worst album since Reputation, which is my least favorite Taylor album.
The most notable aspect of the reason I don’t like this album are the lyrics. Fans always like to point out Taylor’s penmanship and meaning behind each song, which is ... read more
One of the greatest live albums ever recorded.
There’s just so much personality here. The mistakes mid performance as he’s trying to stop laughing, the banter with the prisoners, the swearing that gets bleeped out.
It feels so genuine and is an excellent companion to the magnificent performance Cash gives. So many iconic songs and moments in his career happen during this performance and it’s a testament to how well Cash’s music and holds up. It just oozes AMERICA, and ... read more
Idk man, I’ve never been a huge Pearl Jam guy and I doubt anything will really change that. I’m glad some people like this, but it’s just not for me.
I think I like their last album just a little bit more, but I still really love this. It’s just good-old soft rock that makes me happy! :)
For nearly two decades, St. Vincent has been ruling the underground alternative scene with banger after banger after banger.
All Born Screaming is a culmination of all of that, with one of her most diverse and sonically touching albums to date, wearing its diverse soundscapes on its sleeve with pride.
This is the time he spent working on this album, or at least it sounds that way.
For as much as I’ve listened to this album, I have very little to say about it.
It’s a very pleasant, low-key listen that has some raw, emotional weight to it.
Some songs do sound a bit samey, but it doesn’t take away from the vibe this album is trying to make.
Barnes doesn’t sound like a complete clown in this album…
…but he is still a clown nevertheless.
Instrumentation is neat though.
Listened to this a few more times made me realize how special this album is.
This is, genuinely, one of the greatest metal albums that has released this decade so far. It goes so unbelievably hard and even made me appreciate the metalcore genre more.
It’s 27 minutes, but it feels HUGE. It’s all killer, no filler and it just flies by. It’s amazing and truly made me realize what I’ve been missing from the mainstream metal scene: music that GOES HARD while having ... read more
While I’m not completely vibing with this album, there is the potential for something greater in the future as what is here has some really good bones for a brutal death metal album.
These guys are a very small prog metal band that are doing a lot of cool things, but there are some things that are keeping them from being great.
I am all for instrumentals in my music, but you need to know when and how you use them. Not only do they go on for quite a while, but they flat out ruin the flow of the album because of how long and how wacky they get. It feels like wasted time to flex instead of a palette cleanser or mood establisher.
If these guys can hammer out the writing of ... read more
