Karmanjakah - Diamond Morning

The only thing stopping me from rating this higher is the unnecessary whiteboy rap.

Currents - The Place I Feel Safest
100

Been on a bit of a currents binge lately and thought I'd finally check out some of their older stuff and man this album blew my socks off. From the absolutely brutal yet groovy riffs, to the devastating lyrics and incredible vocals to go with them, I just felt kinda awestruck listening through this album. Zero skips from front to back, really ended up loving this album, this one just hit really hard.

AREYOUSURE - Christmas Ornaments

A new Christmas classic

AREYOUSURE - CRACK2

Disembodied Tyrant - 8.6 BLACKOUT

Above, Below - I Guess It Was Nowhere
50

First half was better than the second, had some very cool and interesting moments but the whole thing is kinda let down by this jarring balance of clean vocals and growls, lots of these huge soaring choruses just come out of nowhere with little to no flow or buildup to them. Also just reeeeally not a fan of the vocals in general, reminds me too much of fallout boy to an extent where it just does not work for me.

Killswitch Engage - As Daylight Dies

I miss riffs in metal

"@EtherealRPM I absolutely despise bmth and I’m still gonna have to disagree with you there, this was a really underwhelming listen."

"@tn3t3ta you’re allowed to like the poppy album of course, I just think it’s sad to see a band that used to feel so original and interesting turn so generic and sound exactly the same as another album done by the same producer that barely came out a year ago. But of course that’s just my opinion and I appreciate yours and am happy this new sound is enjoyable to you, it’s just a bit of a let down to me. Hopefully the album as a whole turns out great."

"@Ignominy25 I have an opinion and I’m voicing it. You’re entitled to yours too. I simply don’t understand the hype, but like I said the album is good. I never once said “don’t listen to it!” Or “you’re stupid if you like this”, I’m simply asking why because i don’t get it. But since I didn’t like your favorite album as much as the next guy you’ve had to go and stalk my profile and attack my reviews. Sad."
