I avoided this album for the longest time. Yes, yes, I fed into the "this album blows" part of the average Tyler release. I listened to it once, and felt.. Whatever. It was a LISTENABLE album. But the magic about this is that it just.. takes forever to grow on you. It took me about 3 listens front-to-back to understand what everyone else enjoyed.

It has been so long since The Sailor. And you can tell by how much Rich Brian has matured and improved over the years. Everything from the production, the lyrics, the soul of this album is the greatest successor to The Sailor I could've asked for - and that's coming from someone who believes that is one of the best albums of 2019.
