the production is amazing, the lyrics are good, just doesnt make me feel much compared to her other songs. still an excellent song though, just that the expectation is ethel cain high.

i'm gonna be honest, on first listen, i didnt like this album much. and I still have a couple issues with it, primarily the production.

the production isn't bad or anything, it's just that it feels repetitive. you can expect pretty much the same guitars and drums and maybe the rock guitar coming in halfway for 90% of songs. it also takes a bit to differentiate between songs for me. this is the biggest reason i wouldnt give this album a perfect score.

jack antonoff productions really need soul to shine. and this aint it. the sound is too refined and just... not organic? he can do good songs, Cruel Summer, august, and whatever other hits taylor has, but it needs a great melody and flow, and instruments. just vocals with some beeps in the background dont do it

there are some amazing hits, but aside from that there are lots of songs that dont have much replayability/get old quick. is jack antonoff an issue? yes. is he to blame? no. im not a fan of her country sound as much, would rather more EICS style sounds from her. coincidence is nice tho
