This is really good, there are some amazing songs and some awful songs similar to WLR, although there are a much wider range of sounds used and there are some feel good songs that make the album really fun to listen to along with the rage trap. This is album is inconsistent but when it’s good it’s really good.
Favourite songs: Pop Out (unpopular opinion but I love the industrial sound), Good Credit, Cocaine Nose, We Need Da Good Vibes, Olympian
Surprisingly good album. I already loved the hits from this album, Shutdown, Man and That’s Not Me and so I thought I’d check out this album to see if it was more of the same and I actually really enjoyed the full album. Skepta maintains the energy and flow throughout and the beats are all really good too. Text Me Back is very underrated as an album closer too and is a brilliant song too. Overall a really good album and probably a celebration of the peak of UK grime in its ... read more
Edit: Forgotten and Place For My Head are bangers
Really good debut from Linkin Park but this doesn’t have the consistency of Meteora in my opinion. Papercut is probably my favourite Linkin Park song and most of the songs up after In The End are really good. After In The End though the album becomes less memorable and doesn’t have the same weight. Hybrid Theory has highs just as high but lacks the consistent quality of Meteora.
This album is so fun to listen to. For Ever is a decent album but not as good as Jungle’s self titled debut. Jungle return to the same unique sound that made the first album so amazing but unfortunately it’s not as impactful outside of a few songs. The best songs are Heavy, California and Beat 54 which are the only two songs I would say maintain the same standard as before.
