Whilst I’m still bothered by their insistence on putting in annoying, extremely high-pitched sounds on every song on this album so far, I’m otherwise really impressed by this. This is a densely layered and complex composition that doesn’t lose any of the classic Vampire Weekend charm, it still has the quintessential bouncy melodies and poetic lyrics. Would be 85-90 without the noises still, but they don’t bother me as much here as they do on Capricorn, as they are buried fairly deep in the mix on this track rather than being at the forefront.
