Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
73

I liked this album, but I'm struggling to see what makes people see this as an all-timer. It was pleasant but the length means it would have to be exceptional to warrant replaying, so it is one I probably won't return to

Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
85

my first time listening to bob dylan and this didnt disappoint!! great album all around with some stellar highlights.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

i dont get this album at all, its honestly kinda bad. not a single song stood out to me as interesting and honestly i could happily never listen to this project again in my life and feel like i wasn't missing out on much at all.

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
82

my first revisit of this for a while and it made me remember what always irked me about this album, and thats the final 2 tracks which are so boring that its actually irritating due to how good the rest of it is. take those off and this album is at least a 9/10, but alas.

OutKast - Aquemini
86

Awesome album but who's idea was it to put Mamacita on the tracklist?

American Football - American Football
67

American Football's latest album is pleasant but none of the songs are breathtaking in any stretch in contrast with their debut. I would've loved to see the features be more than just backing vocalists also.
Best Track : No Soul to Save
Worst Track : Lullabye

KNEECAP - FENIAN
68

i had high expectations for this because I really loved their debut Fine Art. Sadly, this LP didn't live up to them fully. Tracks 8-12 particularly were just decent, and while there were highlights like lead single Liars Tale as well as Palestine, Smugglers and Scholars and Cocaine Hill, nothing else really blew me away the same way that any of the tracks on Fine Art do.
Best Track: Palestine
Worst Track: Headcase

Vylet Pony - Gonarch's Lair
26

*Emwell voice*
Well well well, Vylet Pony, that shit was ass

As someone who has only heard one VP album before this one, which was last year's fantastic Love and Ponystep, I had high expectations going into this. Those expectations were significantly dented after the first track, which featured fairly horrendous rapping with some weak lyrics, and this exact criticism can be extended to almost every single other track on this tape. The only track that I'd say didn't suffer from ... read more

fakemink - Night, Blooming Jasmine .

production is fire but mink doesnt deliver sadly
EDIT after giving it 10 listens i can now say this song bangs and im now #terrified

2slimey - Daniel Larson

WHITE BOY CRAZY DANIEL LARSON!!

2slimey - SsoMe
86

2Slimey's debut mixtape SsoMe is truly one of the most intense hiphop records you'll ever hear. The record is packed with high energy throughout and cuts the bullshit with short bangers. The noise varies throughout the record which gives good balance and makes its noisier moments (usually the tracks prod. by vlor5k) shine even more. There is also the collab with Yhapojj which brings a more calm vibe during the storm of the mixtape. As for the bangers, the more noisy tracks like ... read more

A.R. Kane are often cited as one of the first to make music in the genre of shoegaze because of this EP, and honestly I'd say the genre hasn't seen a better project since this one. the gorgeous yet harrowing title track feels like the musical equivalent of dark magic, while second track sado-masochism is a must might be the greatest shoegaze track ever recorded, with its noisy and infectious melody as well as its great vocals.

Thaiboy Digital - Silk Road
91

thaiboy and swedm pick up where dj billybool left off to deliver one of the biggest bangers of the year so far

Red House Painters - Red House Painters (Rollercoaster)
100

Red House Painters I is one of few albums I won't ever get bored of. From its gorgeous yet sometimes gritty guitar work and its harrowing at times lyrics from frontman Mark Kozelek as well as his vocals all blend for a smooth and captivating listen.
Best Tracks : Grace Cathedral Park, Katy Song, Strawberry Hill
Worst Track - Brown Eyes (still amazing)
For fans of:
Carissa's Wierd
Cocteau Twins
Ethel Cain

Bladee - Gluee
100

bladee's dreamiest and most beautiful project to date is a wonder to listen to thanks to the stellar production of whitearmor, yung sherman + more, as well as the hazy vocals that leave you hooked
best track - deletee ft. thaiboy digital, ebay ft. thaiboy digital and ECCO2K, unreal
worst track - freeze (still incredible though)

Lunaa - Audiolover
82

a great album that blends sounds of EDM, cloud rap and trap in an interesting new way.
best tracks: ADHD, Girls from London ft. Drux, Audio-technica
worst track: nightlife ft. swoopy
for fans of:
bladee
the deep
cartier'god

Vyva Melinkolya - Unbecoming
95

a must listen blend of slowcore and shoegaze that brings a dark energy that is extremely captivating.
best tracks : 222, whimper, doomer gf song ft. midwife
worst track: n/a
for fans of:
ethel cain

On gung's review of Vylet Pony - Gonarch's Lair
"@Valvanicfibrous i didnt mention comedy once but okay, way to misunderstand my comment. i said the record didnt feel serious due to the seriously pathetic lyrics and rapping. take the song batty freestyle as a prime example, which just comes off as laughing at jamaican patois just for the sake of it. plus the whole thing just struck me as "white girl hears jane remover once" and rather than trying to create a piece of art that pays respect to rap as a genre, it spent most of its time trying to be jane, who while white herself, seems to actually respect the genre."

"@Sterlingrecords this record feels like it isnt taking hiphop as a genre seriously, which is a very disrespectful thing to do to a black artform, making the whole thing feel racially insensitive."
