Obviously lots of animals "move rhythmically." There are hundreds of them on YouTube: dogs, bears, cats, ferrets, horses, pigeons, squirrels, dolphins, fish, parrots. “Chimpanzees dance to some extent in the same way as humans,” said Yuko Hattori, a researcher at Kyoto University who studied the dancing chimps. Songs like “Stronger” and “Good Life” have stood the test of time in the populist opinion, even though West’s sound has long since evolved past such upbeat synthy pop goodness. In the paradise of records where an artist is transitioning ... read more

“Late Registration” is impressive mainly because it was released only a year after “Dropout,” but demonstrates a clear lyrical and sonic progression from his previous work.

“Touch The Sky” and “Gold Digger” are roaring crowd-pleasers that still sound fresh almost 15 years after the fact, but some of the album’s best moments occur when it deals with darker topics.

“Diamonds From Sierra Leone” addresses the ... read more
