Oh yeah, yeah, this is the stuff. It hurts so good. FKA Twigs injects her pure heartbroken soul into every track, and it’s just so goddamn sad and beautiful.

This is the second album from FKA Twigs that’s really impressed me, I’m definitely a huge fan now. I can’t think of the last time I’ve wanted to listen to a break-up album on repeat, usually they depress me enough that I can appreciate the beauty while not wanting to stew in it. But with MAGDALENE, the ... read more

Hell yeah! The guitars are back! But what’s this?! The Harp is gone?!

Ceremonials was cool, but what made me like Lungs so much more were the prominent guitar and bass lines in ADDITION to the epic string sections. How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful embraces Florence’s classic rock influences much more again and I love her for it. It’s similar to Lungs but no harp creates a completely different sound.

This album makes me feel like I’m sailing the open seas on a foreign planet.

I can see why a lot of people could be disappointed in this record, because they were expecting stuff like Midnight City. But that is also what makes ... read more

When this album came out I was pretty mad. So Gambino isn’t going to rap anymore? Fuck this.

But once I got over myself, I did in fact enjoy this album. I love me some good funk, and outside of Blood Orange, Anderson paak, Daft Punk, and [shutters] Bruno Mars, there’s not that much funk in the 2010s. But unlike those other projects “Awaken, My Love!” really does sound like it’s straight out of the 70s. It oozes cool, it’s laid back, it’s soulful and I ... read more

Lmao, this is really good, what the hell?

The first time I listened through this album I wanted to act like I didn’t love it as much as I did. But after multiple listens of NFR I can’t help but admit this album is absolutely beautiful. Lana has never sounded better.

I never hated Lana Del Rey but I also was never overly impressed by her. She has always had a great voice but the instrumentation on most of her songs wasn’t overly interesting, especially outside of her radio ... read more
