Black Veil Brides - Vindicate
65

Vindicate definitely is some of BVB's best work, with genuinely great vocals, melodies and, as usual, incredible guitar work. I'd even go as far as to say some tracks on here are their absolute best (mainly Vindicate, Bleeders, and Cut), however, they can't seem to let go of those Woah's and Ooh's, dragging down most of the tracklist for me.

Joji - Piss In The Wind
53

I can totally see what Joji was going for here, and it does work in his favor at times, highlighting incredible tracks with moody interludes that give off incredible vibes. But the album more than overstays its welcome at 21 (mostly meh) tracks, that dilute the experience way too much. Even as a day one fan, I can't really recommend it :(

t.A.T.u. - Dangerous and Moving
100

I might be in the minority here but have always preferred this album over their debut. The melodies are more emotional and bombastic, the production is a little less weird but still feels original 20 years later, and (subjective but important) the lyrics hit hard more consistently.

ISSBROKIE - SWAGGOT! (B SIDE)
90

There isn't much i can actually comment on, since i'm sorta new to hip-hop as a whole, but HOLY
Brokie's become my favorite rapper and a dream collab of mine, and this album certified it.

NateWantsToBattle - Scrap Heap
88

I'm very late to this, as I haven't been keeping up with Nate's music as of the last 4/5 years - but this is definitely not what i expected.

Danny Brown - Stardust
95

I haven't been exposed to Danny Brown much in my life, but this is one of the best, most eclectic and profound album i've ever heard. The production is insane, the lyrics mature, and the feats perfectly curated. Can't wait to listen again, and dive deeper into Stardust.

Turnstile - NEVER ENOUGH
100

I guess I must have been sleeping on Turnstile, because despite having never heard of them before the Grammy nominations, this album has become one of my favorite things to come out this year.

twenty one pilots - Breach
100

Breach is twenty one pilots' best project by far, and a beautiful way to wrap up the story they have been setting up since Vessel.

Stray Kids - KARMA
75

Not their best project, but still incredibly catchy and lovable - "BLEED", "CREED" and "0801" are the ones that have been on repeat tho.

Nova Twins - Parasites & Butterflies
65

I was suuuper excited for this album after finally giving Supernova a listen - maybe i hyped it up a little too much for myself - but while it does address the main issue i had with their debut, it feels a little bit like a step down. It has this weird habit of alternating absolute bangers with a soft "meh", half the choruses on this record feel like they're actively taking energy away from the songs, with convoluted lyrics and incoherent rhythms. BUT - the songs that do hit, hit ... read more

Nova Twins - Supernova
85

This album is nasty, bombastic and never slows down, to both is advantage and detriment. It doesn't give you a second to breathe, and that can feel overwhelming, but it more than makes up for with how catchy and powerful it is.

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
100

Peak Pharrell prods and amazing bars. Not a single skip in sight.🫡

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
63

Genuinely has some really cool ideas, but some creative decisions here are just like.. huh??? Like, half the time i was just squinting my eyes in disbelief. Eh, still liked a few songs (mostly Ring Ring Ring and Don't Tap The Glass)

PlaqueBoyMax - Five Forever
59

has many ups and downs, but never goes above being "good".

Deluxe - ça fait plaisir
92

This marks the first time i was anticipating an album by Deluxe, and oh my, did they deliver. The creativity on display here is mind-blowing, and, apart from the repetitiveness of "Windows Open", this is a flawless collection of songs (although "Caliente", "Microdosing" and "Where the F*ck is Jason" stand proudly above the rest).

Changeline - THE.DRAW.OF.A.NEW.SHAPE
76

Wow, she just keeps getting better, huh?

chiello - Scarabocchi
78

This will probably become the peak of chiello's career, as the lyrics incredibly touching, and cut deep; and the arrangements are all so intricate and unconventional. loved this sm

Edit: some of the songs have shrunk on me a lil :(

Ice Nine Kills - The Silver Scream
74

Heavy, freaky, campy, occasionally cringe - "Thank God It's Friday" is genuinely unlistenable without giggling at the sheer absurdity of its lyrics - but it's all in good fun and i LOVE it.
