Very one dimensional but also very consistent, incredible drumming from Zach and very catchy guitar parts too.Solid record
“Ridin with my choppper, ayy ayy
I’ma beat him like his father, ayy ayy”
The ascension to heaven in musical form🔥🔥
Fever dream the album.
Other than a few songs this is incredible and those songs might grow on me since I didn’t think they were bad at all.
Fav song(s):everything but least fav’s
Least fav song(s):white lines, from the ground
Sooo cute and sweet
Fav track(s):sense, dirt, paper mâché dream balloon, the bitter boogie
Least fav track(s):bone
I think maybe his most focused and consistent project.also the reissue with good night and me now is the better version imo and honestly me now is probably one of his best songs
Every song is just incredibly catchy. The vocals are great and very unique as well.Very consistent too.But some tracks are way too similar. Especially baby I’m an anarchist and 8 hours full of sleep which literally have the same exact chord progression(even though they’re very different in tone).Still great record
Fav songs:pints of Guinness make you strong, the politics of starving,we laugh at danger,I still love you julie, baby I’m an anarchist
very one dimentional and has a few misses but the highs and the influence is incredible. i dont like and monster are like top 15 or 10 trap/ drill songs at least
fav song(s):monster, sosa, winnin, i dont like, save that shit.
least fav song(s):trust no one
Consistently good, I think Sarah’s singing on some of these tracks are not as good as the singing on any of their other releases but it’s good enough.Honestly the saving grace to a bunch of these songs is the writing and it’s great and honestly kinda moody at times like on sick beat and babies are so strange.overall doesn’t stick with me as much as their other stuff does but still a fine project nonetheless
Fav track(s):intro bonito, sick beat, babies are so strange, ... read more
It’s definitely their most house influenced body of work and it’s good but it doesn’t stick with me like their other stuff does.i can see it growing on me overtime tho
Fav track(s):the river, 21/04/20, well rested
Very wintery vibes, I didn’t expect that from a band named camel but it sure does fit them.Great album
"Well this is cute"i said to myself as i moved on to track 3
fav track(s):All
The album and the songs were good, even great but the spoken word passages were just not it. Still some incredible songs on this.
Fav track(s):alice, wings in the sky, wipe my tears, wonderland, the samurai's monologue.
Least fav track(s):Call me back, villians theme
Much more progressive than their last album, and waaaay more consistent, there isnt a song on this that i dont like.
Fav track(s):All
Least fav track(s):none
The second half is way worse then the first half, still good tho.
Fav track(s):time to pretend, the youth, electric feel, kids
Least fav track(s):the handshake
I found this while listening to trash theory's video on emo and its roots and the snipet of one of the songs caught my eye, "whoah this SLAPS!" I said to myself. And my reaction to this album was "whoahh this SLAPS!"(the 2 h's were intentional)
This was really agressive for a shoegaze album, almost punkish. The lyrics were fine though the instrumentation was pretty great.Oh and this album has a give em hell kid jumpscare so its automatically 10/10...jokes aside it was great but there were some eh songs here and there
Fav track(s):Light from a dead star, hypocrite, desire lines, never never, sturlust, when i die.
Least fav songs:Kiss chase, the invisible man
