Idk feels kinda goofy ahh for the sake of it, from my many hours of research (think I saw a twitter post about it) this is very much an album that Tyler made for himself rather than the people, which I respect, people saying this is a perfect album just aint all there, but if ur finding it heat then fair play, not my cup of tea but then again not everyone likes Unknown P.
more thought provoking than the last album, but still nothing crazy, another solid album.
Biggest snoozefest of all time, literally the blandest batch of songs ever, I don't know if id rather have the music be shit because then there would be something to talk about, I have literally nothing else to say.
bit of a snoozefest but it wasnt horrifically shite, improvement from last album. Progress!
Nothing mental, bit of a knob, but does the job, for a debut album its solid!
Tribute Album to Kanye's late mother Donda definitely has some highs, but for the last Kanye album I had to go through to finish his discog (until bully drops) his catalouge ended on a bit of a whimper here, and I would much rather have ended here than the fucking dumpster fire that is vultures 1 and 2. regardless of the fact that this album is bloated as fuck, Kanye is still in my opinion the GOAT, and I think as of late the vultures slop has just left a sour taste in peoples mouths when ... read more
it has a few chewns as a certain tictac would put it, but the quality is all over the show, for a follow up to MBDTF, this sadly was a step back :(
One of Kanye's unreleased albums was Turbo Graphix 16, which he wanted to make for his love of the console with the same name and retro games in general. This album gave me vibes of instead of Kanye playing retro games as a kid, you stick him infront of a fucking ps4 and tell him to 100% bloodborne. album feels very desolate and isolated but still with a glimmer of hope in the rough. the length makes me hesitant on giving it anything above an 89, but all the songs on here were solid. 4th ... read more
While LR doesn't reach the same heights of TCD, songs like Touch the Sky, We Major and many others can push the album to extraordinary highs, to me personally TCD gives more feelings of believing in yourself and the work you do, LR continues that theme but makes me feel like the songs are exploring how you are when you are directly in the grind, like grinding for that A so dad doesn't beat your ass. 8.9/10 for the teddy walking into the room late album.
defo lives up to kanyes BP, 2nd half was really solid but bro was clearly on that nitrus first 4 songs 💀
one of the most experimental things I've listened to, while none of the songs were outright shit, it felt just very alright in most areas, with on sight and bound 2 being the only ones that stuck out hard, fair play ye
don't get all the glaze for this album, nothing really surprised me, sorry Charlie, but has to be done.
Really Solid Album, halfway through I was just thinking of giving it an 80, as it wasn't doing much for me other than Stretch my hand pt 1 and Famous. but that final 5 track run singlehandedly brought this shit up, not saying the tracks before weren't bad, but they just didn't feel like they risked anything. considering most people who listen to this album all relate to the fact that it can and has grown on them, will defo need to give this a listen through in a month or so. good ... read more
One of the greatest albums of all time.
EDIT: after a re listen on the 2nd October, I can confirm in my opinion this is the greatest album of all time. like blame game is an 8/10 for me and the lowest rated after that is the final 2 songs, and then AFTER THAT its like 95+ and above the entire time, 5 perfect songs not including the interlude, this is far and away Kanye's Magnum Opus, and it is such a powerful album, one of the highest costing albums of all time and it paid off in spades. ... read more
Sad boy hours
EDIT: After a Kanye discog binge with Jake and Skye, I have left Sad Boy hours behind and discovered this album isn't as good as I thought it once was, decent but not a 9, what was I smoking?
Who knew a teddy could drop such an all timer, pudsey is quaking in his boots.
Peak Music, Mozart and them lot wish they could make something a third as good as this. good work Kung Fu Panda. SKADOOSH!!!!
Another hood classic from George Pig and the pigs, beats out with the Beatles in my opinion. but its not please pleasing me more than the 1st album, still good album tho.
