An album so Drake it made me write again.

Drake almost make something pretty good on some of these tracks, but most of it is just Drake being Drake.
I think if this was the first album Drake ever made, it first of all wouldn't make sense because of a bunch of references that are made on this album to the beef and aftermath, but other than that it would be like a 5/10. I have to give props to Marlon for operating in what feels like the most respectful way to operate as a white person in hip-hop. To the greatest degree I think he could, has tried to stay in his lane and also make interesting music without abusing his whiteness (but who knows maybe if a black artist made this I wouldn't be listening to it.) Especially in a time when we have Jack Harlow very much abusing his whiteness (at least from my view.)

I have kinda conflicting feelings about this album.
I like some certain things about it but I don't really like the overall album experience and it overall comes off really pretentious to me the manner of which this is pulled off.
This annoys me for many reasons, first of all RAYE is immensely vocally talented it's so clear throughout this record how talented she is and I do think there are quite a few moments when that's used very well but mostly, I feel pretty disappointed with ... read more

I have trouble getting what Slayyyter the artist herself is bringing to the table on this album.
I like this a lot and think it's a great album all in but I think that not because of the involvement Slayyyter as an artist. The writing is mid at best and at worst very cringe, there isn't really something I'd consider to be a flash of genius.
