This has some of the worst Lyrics to an album i've ever seen. What makes this even worse is that it's 21 songs too many.
"Cause she get wet and she suck me like an insect"
"She my step sister, so I guess that's incest"
"I could not stop lookin' at those big breasts"

I think this album did a lot of things really well. The fast pacing, the emotion, and it was all in all very enjoyable to listen to.

Album was made in about 2 weeks and it shows lmao, but I honestly think the sub-par, nothing special production on this album works quite well with the subject matter and the songs itself. Although even with the good songs in this, the bad/mediocre mostly outweigh the "great" in it. As a whole definetly not a bad project, just got some high highs and low lows.

My glaze for this album will never die. Good kid, m.A.A.d city goes 12 for 12 on songs and 15 for 15 on the deluxe version, everything about this album is beautiful. The storytelling, the lyricism, the production, the features, just everything. Jay Rocks verse on Money Trees is absolute cinema, Dr. Dre on Compton is great, and hell even Anna Wise is good on Real, the hook isn't even that bad. Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe, The Art of Peer Pressure, Money Trees, m.A.A.d city, Swimming ... read more
This album means a lot to me as it's the album that originally got me into Kendrick and it's still an amazing album without my bias. Almost all of these songs are solid and after first finishing it, it left me wanting more. Little did I know you can get more by simply listening to it in reverse, which is another big reason on why this album is so good. The production on some of these songs are simply amazing with FEAR., DNA., and DUCKWORTH. being prime examples. DUCKWORTH. in my ... read more
The Slow Rush is—as the title states—slow, but it still manages to pull off being a great listen mainly with the production. Many of the songs being 5+ minutes long plus the slow pacing shows that good knowledge of producing and instrumentation can make a listening experience all the more better. It's consistent, unique, and calming to listen to with a few songs at the end that really wrap up the entire album very nicely with One More Hour being a perfect way to end off this ... read more
