The Bug Boys finish off their recording career with a real banger. I still have a few more to listen to, but in my opinion, Abbey Road is the Beatles most consistent album. While I do think the highs are a bit steeper on a few of their other projects, this one really wins me over with its smooth ride of solid tracks. I have also found the medley concept to grow on me a bit, although I do wish some of those songs were more fleshed out.

I rarely ever love albums that go beyond 75 minutes or so in length, but this is one of the exceptions. I don’t think I can really blame Stevie Wonder for making such a long project when he was sitting on top of so many amazing songs. This album is truly spectacular and always makes me want to get up and move when I hear it. I do think it starts off a bit slow, but once it hits its groove, it’s a bullet train.
Favorite Track: Black Man
At the point when this album was made, Bob Dylan was seen by many as washed and well past his prime. After having, at best, a mediocre decade in the 70s up to this point, Bob did the unthinkable and dropped what might be his best album. Blood on the Tracks is, in my opinion, is Bob perfecting his folk sound. This is not just one of the greatest breakup albums, but one of the greatest albums, period.
Favorite Track: Shelter From the Storm
Under the circumstances in which Rumours was created, it really should have turned out to be a bad album. Instead, what was created is what I would argue to be one of the greatest albums ever made. It really does feel like such a diverse record, with three different songwriters and several different genres. There are several all time great tracks on this record, and I honestly never get bored of it.
Favorite Song: Dreams
No album will ever have the impact that Thriller has had. This album really does feel like a greatest hits record, but I mean that in only the best way possible. On top of how great the music is, the music videos that accompany this album really do cement it in my mind as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) albums ever made.
