I can't remember exactly what made me like this album so much; however, I did enjoy it and remember thinking that it's "different".
I enjoyed the production, however I felt that there were times were it got boringly repetitive. There are still quite a few strong elements which give this album a higher score in my opinion
This one goes out to my goat CourierSix. I find this record quite good as it delves deeper into the post-punk and darkwave elements which I just always wanted to see from the Haunted Mound label. Ghost Mountain, in my own person opinion, has experimented successfully on this record and has truly developed into an artist I want to see more from in the future.
I have a feeling that for someone who has often been credited for being the best at singer-songwriter music, this record definitely helps prove that statement.
I might be psychotic for liking this one but idk I just do I can't explain it. I do think this should've been advertised as a Jay Electronica x HOV album, but idk
(I think this goes without saying but I disregarded many of Jay Elec's lyrics on this)
Everyone knows that I glaze LUM so you may as well try it for yourself, but beware as it does have a lot of expressions of poor mental health.
I think this was my first ever darkwave album, and I am glad I listened to this one because IT'S SO GOOOD
This album is what helped me fall in love with Lupe Fiasco, who is now easily one of my favorite rappers.
