This is honestly a pretty fun compilation, I just wish they didn't use the absolute worst fucking rips of these songs possible
I just can't even fathom what the rationale is for releasing a song every other day and pumping them into albums that basically nobody listens to for damn near 2 years
Somehow not the worst thing he's dropped but it's absolutely fucking baffling that not only did he think a whole album of mediocre satirical hip-hop/country was a good idea, but that the best decision was to send it out a month after some of his best work, really the album only holds any novelty because of the sheer "what the fuck" factor as if this is some elaborate anti-comedy setup
I wish my brain was enough of a chronically-online puddle of gloop to fully enjoy shit like this
thanks to @slandro2 for sending me another gemerald
The Spotify page says this was created by a 14 year old boy and I absolutely fucking believe it, this is probably one of the worst and funniest albums I've heard in a minute, all the instrumentation is either formless white noise, cymbal clanging or random guitar slapping, as if he's beating his guitar trying to strum it. It's very Apator-esque yet somehow less embarrassing than something like Masturbating in Praise of Black ... read more
@slandro2 also sent me this, horrible bastard that he is
I've got less to say about this one, it's like if you gave a schizophrenic an hour of studio time and he happened to be good at guitar, I like some good conspiracy music but this is genuinely the most boring old man shit, singing about taking the redpill and vaccines and depopulation and other shit your uncle probably talks about during dinner
Special thanks to @slandro2 for sending me this cack
I'll admit first off that my Italian isn't particularly good, half of it is me just piecing shit together that sounds kinda like Spanish, but what I can understand is completely uninspired goop with one of the worst rock vocalists I've heard in a long while, paired together with awful mixing drowns out the fact they have a pretty competent guitarist and bassist, this stinks like ass
Don't know who this Benson Boone fella is but what I do know is that this is soulless goop that sounds like shit!
Darkie has occasionally shown signs that he wants to be taken more seriously as an artist, every once in a while he's achieved that with his more soulful singles, but this is probably the first time he's ever put that consistent level of emotional energy into an album front to back – it's distinctly the first project from him I'd call mature. It's essentially his own "Let's Start Here." moment, and as amusing as his edgy shit was at times, it's ... read more
Often I've been kinda averse to anti-folk and indie folk because at least from previous listening experiences, in trying to be heartfelt it feels like raw emotions have been ran through a filter to come of more musical and palatable, but this album exceeds at being simultaneously simple lyrically but also being depressingly honest for lack of a better description, if you showed this to me with no prior knowledge of her discography I would 100% believe she's suicidal, it's an ... read more
It ain't half bad but at the same time I can also tell this is the kind of music AOTY will gobble up like no tomorrow, which I don't think I'll ever understand
A result of the everlasting "child star to burnout" cycle, this is genuinely on the level of Corey Feldman's material, were it not for the obnoxious electropop beat you could've easily convinced me "Choose UR Fighter" came off of Angelic 2 The Core
it's not very good but honestly I expected waaaaaay worse from a bunch of middle-aged Polish men who haven't put out a record in like 15 years
Nowhere near Johnston's best work, lyrically it's some of his weaker material, but it's kinda surprising how well his voice works out in a sort of slacker/punk arrangement, the amateurish guitar work adds some charm but for whatever reason the streaming uploads are uploaded in heinously bad audio quality, no clue if that's how the masters for the album were but that's really the biggest thing holding back from being a really great listen
I don't really know what I was expecting from "Hitlerbuttsecks" but this sure ain't like anything I've heard before
