Melanie Martinez - DEATH

she had one job and she did it

Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation
72

It's kind of a shame to see this as the successor of Plastic Hearts. This album tries to be many things and ends up being nothing. It starts well with the sequence flowers - jaded - rose colored lenses (which is the song that best describes the album - or what it should've been) but, after that, miley loses her way into the propposal of the album.
the endless vacation? is now over!

Charlie Puth - Nine Track Mind

the production here is simply phenomenal

Meghan Trainor - Takin' It Back (Deluxe)

this is still pretty uncohesive as the standard version, but the bonus track ar kinda great
mom is a funny bop and nothing else
special delivery is a sexy song with decent lyrics and an unknown feat that adds a lot
and grow up is just... grow up

Meghan Trainor - Mother

not that bad honestly gays are just bitter for no reason

Ruel - 4TH WALL
50

Honestly, this kinda sounds like a new kind of Shawn Mendes but with slightly less personality. Although Ruel is talented, most of the songs sound like they're the same, with a pop-indie slow instrumental and some kind of boring vocals. The highlight tracks here are "growing up is ____" and "you against yourself" that are more upbeat and faster. Overall, this albums has great songwritings.

It's great to see the path he's taking since his EP Killing Time, but surely he has a ... read more

this is a masterpiece idc what the edgy weird users of this site think

Lorde - Melodrama
100

the album is a concept album that tells the story of a single night, from the euphoria of the pre-party to the somberness of the morning after. lorde's lyrics are both personal and universal, touching on themes of heartbreak, youth, and coming of age, with an excellent job done by the artist on writing and capturing all its highs and lows.

also, this album is cohesive as FUCK. each song flows seamlessly into the next, creating a cohesive and immersive listening experience due to its ... read more

this album marks a departure from the moody, introspective sound of Lorde's previous work, instead offering a more sun-drenched and carefree vibe. it's title track sets the tone for the rest of the album with its catchy chorus and laid-back groove. The song features Lorde's signature poetic lyrics, but with a more upbeat and celebratory tone than her previous work.

The album is not without its flaws, however. At times, the songs can feel repetitive and meandering, lacking the tight song ... read more

Meghan Trainor - Title

this album was a commercial hit upon its release in 2015, but today, it may come across as a bit outdated and old-fashioned. The album's upbeat pop production and retro-inspired sound were trendy and catchy back then, but now they may feel stale or overused.

the album draws heavily from the music of the 50s and 60s, which gives it a distinctive flavor and vibe, but at times it may seem too derivative or cliché.

Nevertheless, it's worth keeping in mind that "Title" was a ... read more

muito ruim, pabllo ja foi artista mas ultimamente só decai

Meghan Trainor - Takin' It Back
65

It kinda hurts thinking this is the successor of Treat Myself. Meghan returns with the doop-woop genre she slayed with in 2015, but the point is: we're not in 2015 anymore. Even though there are good songs here, there are also some terrible ones (specially Dance About It, that actually looks like some weird Treat Myself outtake), and the album is nothing but some 2015-pop.
OK lyrics, OK vocals, OK production... and that's just it. Way simpler than its predecessor and, at least for me, that's ... read more

Melanie Martinez - K-12

Melanie uses this album - along with the eponymous movie - to tell her character's story and process of growing and going to school, at the same time that the singer uses it to make several social critics to our society.

An cohesive album with great sonority and great production

Ava Max - Diamonds & Dancefloors
76

In Diamonds & Dancefloors, Ava Max presents us with an album of pop perfection, full of dance songs about heartbreak, in a sonically cohesive album - highlight for the closing track, Dancing's Done, which communicates directly with the title. Running away from the 10's pop of her first album, Max bets on a more electronic and dark pop, getting close on Europop on some tracks.

It is worth highlighting the initial sequence, Million Dollar Baby and Sleepwalker, two tracks that stand out on ... read more

Taylor Swift - Midnights (3am Edition)

It's impressive how the bonus tracks really add up the album experience, unlike many deluxe versions being released lately. Songs like Would've, Could've, Should've, The Great War and Dear Reader show more of the album concept of 'being up late at night' then some standard tracks, like Vigilante Shit. Dear Reader is even a better closing track then Mastermind, just adding to my first point on this review. Aaron's touch on some tracks like The Great War is also a plus to this album and brings ... read more

Charlie Puth - CHARLIE

Charlie presents amazing vocals, top tier production and lyrics that spells pain in a pop (a bit generic, though) perfection album

Juliette - Juliette
