It's kind of a shame to see this as the successor of Plastic Hearts. This album tries to be many things and ends up being nothing. It starts well with the sequence flowers - jaded - rose colored lenses (which is the song that best describes the album - or what it should've been) but, after that, miley loses her way into the propposal of the album.

Honestly, this kinda sounds like a new kind of Shawn Mendes but with slightly less personality. Although Ruel is talented, most of the songs sound like they're the same, with a pop-indie slow instrumental and some kind of boring vocals.The highlight tracks here are "growing up is ____" and "you against yourself" that are more upbeat and faster.
