Hello, my dearest reviewers,
I have been listening to this EP constantly for days now. I might be the youngest old man I know, too, Earl Sweatshirt… I've got back problems already.
Earl Sweatshirt, at his lowest point, being pestered about a new album, dropped Solace on a random account. Solace is an EP album that shook me to my core. I felt like I was looking at my lowest points in life and being forced to confront them once again. It's addictive, morbid curiosity fueling the ... read more

Hello, my dearest reviewers,
While I am not in college for the summer semester, this short EP is definitely for me
Just (For College) is a “Part Two” of sorts in relation to the Just single release. While it only has a live version of Just, which I wasn’t a massive fan of, it has two of Radiohead’s most spectacular B-Sides. While they aren’t in close proximity to the Bends’ sound (other than HCYBS), it's similar enough that you ... read more

Hello, my dearest reviewers,
Why did they decide to have the album cover be a CPR dummy nutting?
The Bends is the sophomore studio album by a very alternative rock Radiohead (for the time being), and it cements the fact that the band is not a one-hit wonder. Countless radio hits for Radiohead, and yet the band is still in an ever-changing penultimate state as they flow through different textures and formats. While there may have been some leftovers of ideas, the best ... read more

Hello, my dearest reviewers,
A top-three song off The Bends gets paired with a bottom-three song off The Bends.
High and Dry/Planet Telex is a double single record made for promotion for the upcoming album The Bends. However, both songs detail the good and bad about the upcoming album as a whole. While Planet Telex shows the band at their “spaciest”, it doesn’t really fit with the rest of The Bends sonically. This is not a huge problem, but it might ... read more

Hello, my dearest reviewers,
I am no longer stagnated, finals week is this week, and then I am BACK to posting daily.
Radiohead’s My Iron Lung EP shows their songwriting and production style ultimately evolving past cookie-cutter alt-rock. While some cliches are still there, Thom, Ed, and Jonny experiment with how exactly their guitars should sound and what exactly they should be playing. Notable features of their sound develop, and influences are taken from ... read more

Hello, my dearest reviewers,
Who knew a Radiohead live concert could be so grating?
This might be my least favorite Radiohead release to date. The horrible “Thinking About You”, the boring “Fathless, the Wonder Boy”, and even a good song ruined by a horrible acoustic set. This album shows Radiohead at their most uninspired, lazy, and forgettable moments. The live portion was absolutely annoying as well. If I hear one more person cheer during a ... read more
