Without a doubt, this new album is an exceptional improvement compared to "Earth". You can't imagine the joy of listening to such a beautiful LP this year. Ed O'Brien simply shines on this record, and I absolutely loved it. I hope to see more EOB projects soon!
It's him, it's JPEGMAFIA, and he's back with what we all expected: "experimental rap". First point to address is, I love how he seamlessly loops the last track back into the first. Beyond that, his production remains undeniable, it’s exquisite, beautiful, and masterfully crafted. However, it’s becoming quite concerning that his lyricism and rapping ability seem to be slipping.
I'm sorry, but this is a pretty weak project, it lacks charisma and feels quite boring. I actually love the sound Drake is trying to experiment with here, but unfortunately, it just doesn't live up to the massive expectation of dropping three albums in a single night. A missed opportunity.
It’s a good album and it definitely feels solid, but it also has its weak moments. The project feels noticeably unpolished in certain areas. And Honestly, after listening to the whole thing, it feels like revisiting ''Honestly, Nevermind'', just slightly more refined. A decent addition to his catalog, but the execution could have been tighter.
I loved it. It’s simply an incredible project, especially considering he still saw himself as an amateur at the time of recording. Is it the best in his discography? Probably not, but it’s undeniably beautiful. You can hear the raw potential that would eventually lead to his later masterpieces.
Even though it's a fairly short EP, I love the direction North West is taking musically. I hope Ye and Kim Kardashian support North on this path, but ultimately, North should make her own decisions.
Almost five years after Donda and following the turbulent, chaotic era of his 11th album DONDA 2, Ye returns with a new project. He’s proving that no matter how many years pass or how many controversies hit, he can still lock in and focus on making great music. Sure, the use of AI on some tracks is there, but the production and songwriting on the vast majority of the record are undeniable. It’s a very solid album overall. Let's just hope it keeps getting better with future ... read more
This album is simply gorgeous from start to finish. I genuinely love its sound and the futuristic electronic atmosphere it creates. It’s just beautiful. 'How to Disappear Completely' still brings tears to my eyes, and 'The National Anthem' is just precious. Every track has its own distinct sound, yet they all complement each other perfectly. Even if the band said it's not a conceptual album, it truly feels like a record born from a devastating post-war landscape. ... read more
Although I had my doubts about this project, because I think most people have been waiting more than 8 years for a new Rocky album, I, to be honest, had no hope. I had the impression it would be a pretty weak album and that it would be forgotten in two weeks (which apparently is happening lol). But after the halfway point, it really feels like a solid album. I like the production and the way Rocky handles his flow. Sure, the album didn't convince me in its first few tracks, but after STFU, ... read more
An excellent album, you can see the love and quality that went into it, and the way Kendrick Lamar made it, there's no doubt that this album is one of the best of the decade.
It's clear from a mile away that it's a pretty incredible improvement over "The Melodic Blue." It has some great tracks and the production is undeniable. You might just love this album if you don't constantly compare it to GNX. But it's definitely a good Baby Keem album. What more could you ask for?
Gorillaz has released an incredible, amazing, and wonderful album. You can really see the effort and dedication they put into it. It truly deserves its place as one of the best albums of the year. Great sound and great songwriting make this album from beginning to end.
An incredible album that genuinely surprised me with its quality. Before this record, Kanye West had already proven himself as an MVP in hip-hop production, but with this album he fully secured his place as one of the greatest artists of this generation.
It completely changed my perception of how I see things. This album carries one of the best concepts and is Kendrick’s most personal and open work yet, reflecting his transformation. All I can say is, he’s not your savior, even though his music truly saved me. He’s not my savior.
Honestly, I’m amazed that Tyler decided to drop a deluxe/reissue of CHROMAKOPIA, his most talked-about album from 2024. It only adds one new track (the one that’s been floating around online and appeared on the Test Pressing Version 1 vinyl and CD) but there are some noticeable changes from that version too. I took this as a chance to give CHROMAKOPIA another full listen, and even though it’s just one new song, it reminded me of how much hype I had for this album back then. I ... read more
It honestly surprised me that Tyler dropped another album, breaking his usual two-year cycle. This one isn’t conceptual at all, and that’s kinda what makes it special. It’s just meant to make you dance, get up from your seat, and move. It’s only 28 minutes long, and yeah, a few tracks could’ve been tighter, but who cares? It’s fun, it’s loose, and it’s pure good vibes.
