i dont think tyler is trying to hone in on one specific feeling or idea for this album. he spreads the album out over the 14 songs in a more non-chronological way than some of his past albums. his main inspiration he said was growing up in inglewood and the things his mom said to him growing up that he can understand now. the album, to me, weaves these ideas into different experiences which are expressed through the 14 songs. i think peoples problem is that it isnt quite as "artistic" ... read more
