I don't know about you guys, but I come back to this album every time I want to, which is very often. Despite the mediocre rating, the album offers a very chill, folk elements that I totally live for. This album deserves more love and recognition besides Lorde's lower ranked, to be honest.
Lorde is that one artist who makes albums that just makes you want to come back to it. Including Solar Power.
Virgin, I say is one of my favorite Lorde albums. It already starts of strong with Hammer, just hammers you with that track Hammer. The production is really good, like Current Affairs, or If She Could See Me Now. What I really don't understand is how people overlooked Clearblue, it's incredibly nice with Lorde's voice, she's a genius.
Definitely freaky and spooky, and will definitely listen again. Despite the eerie, creepy, atmospheric tracks in this EP, it's almost quite passable if you're trying to sleep with this album, if that's your thing (which is mine too). The creepy tracks will send you to another that gives you the comfort of Ethel's ethereal voice showcased in some slow and melancholic tracks like Punish or Onanist, it's like a roller coaster ride, except for freaky and sad people.
