Talk about making another splash.
Action Bronson's PLANET FROG is his best album to date, and that's putting it lightly.
This is one of those albums everyone wants from the best rappers in the industry. An album both paying homage to previous sounds, emotions, and releases, whilst also being a cornucopia for even further artistic improvement. And this comes after Bronson's prior release, which I partially assumed was already such an album.
This isn't to say it's not ... read more
The album Isaiah has finally presented to us is one that really embodies the mellow hip-hop genre Isaiah himself has thrived in since Cilvia Demo. It's one of those albums that allows you to self-alleviate your worries, with a mellow sound and an array of heavy lyrics splattered across each of the sixteen tracks.
One man. One new band. One reason to believe.
Opening track got me believing more than I could ever imagine. An album like this doesn't pop like Hellfire or The New Sound, but it doesn't really have to. It encapsulates quaint feelings perfectly for what it wants to envelop the listeners with.
A super hearty mixture put together with true amounts of care. Slowly moving, carefully crafted, yet explosive at the perfect moments. Exactly what a Friko effort is bound to give you.
Words sometimes can't describe an album.
My main issue with Miles, despite how good it was, had to do with the track amounts. I felt like a bit of a slog to get through, even despite how good that slog felt.
This is everything I would've imagined a concise Miles to be. Or an upgraded version of LTOW. Whatever you see this record as, one thing is undeniable; this thing is really fucking good.
Brilliant rapping all throughout makes this feel almost like an early 2000s album, with ... read more
As someone who couldn't fucking stand stay true forever, I can at the absolute least say kuru improved.
Unfortunately that improvement is almost entirely thanks to the producers and guest stars hard-carrying kuru rather than kuru actually improving as an artist.
But oh well, some people can't be helped.
[remembering something that was never there]
I would call this a fever dream album, but that would still be an insult. Fever dreams make you question everything else. This album makes you question yourself. That's more important than anything.
No other notes required, phenomenal album, even if not as consistently brilliant as many of the true perfections of this type.
Having "hateful" and "apathetic" on the tag list is just way too funny man
Wesley's put it all together on this record; an efficient songlist, powerful production, and a hunger and knack for getting the fullest out of every track.
Yep, it's official. Marlon Craft is on the white rapper Mount Rushmore.
Analog Man is genuinely one of the best songs I've heard all year. Top to bottom, the instrumentals range from solid to mystifyingly entrancing, and hugely improved even from his last record, which I also loved. Marlon's rapping skills continue to evolve, once again painting his feelings into vibrant art.
Brilliant record, can't wait for more from Marlon soon.
First three tracks: Wow this is pretty good
PRETTY4U: HOLY SHIT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *dies from peak*
Last nine tracks: Wow this is pretty good
Sometimes an album is so good you can't believe it's real.
Thundercat has always had all the talent, all the production skills, and all of the vocal pitches needed to truly make a splash.
He didn't just do that here. He made something indescribably imprecisely beautiful, imperfectly perfect.
The worst part about this record was realizing it was over. That tells you all you need to know.
Even judging this from an objective perspective, with a few exceptions this just sounds like shit
Yesterday I would've probably told you I liked Charlie Puth more than most.
Now I have to reconsider that.
This is terribly safe cotton candy low denominator pop that I thought Charlie moved past after Nine Track Mind.
High-energy, fun, perfectly balancing its various aspects into a very solid record
This is a rare sort of album. One that will continue being explosive, continue feeling just as vibrant, and continue to contain hope, for much longer than most.
I will say, this album definitely has a big audience of people that are going to love it, are loving it, and will continue to love it.
It's a shame I can't be a part of said audience.
