The is a section of the track list that is a bit weaker in the middle, but it ends really strong. I still think the vocals are a bit too quiet in the mix, but I’ve kind of gotten used to it I guess even if I don’t love it.
This is probably my favorite Parliament album even if it still doesn’t connect with me the way a lot of the Funkadelic stuff does. It’s super groovy of course.
This is a step down from the rest of the band’s work but I can commend the experimentation. The album just kind of loses me a bit and never really got my interest back.
This is an album that kind of just falls into the same level of quality of the rest of their stuff. I can’t love the vocals and the mix still sounds crunchy.
As a Belle and Sebastian aficionado, having now seen them live, I can say that this is a good album but not quite as good as everything they’ve released previously. I think there are too many songs with Stuart on lead vocals and that makes it feel different in a slightly negative way.
