I love Murs, he's highly underrated. But this is some of the most underwritten, corny, poorly produced hip-hop I've ever heard. Neither artist has come close to reaching this low again, and thank God for that. 9th Wonder's work here is bland, but Murs' rapping brings the score well into the red.

Unhinged and exciting as fuck - why don't more artists structure their projects like this?? If you liked KOTMS2 then you'll love this.

I'm not gonna beat around the bush - The College Dropout is a classic.

This album is just brilliant in almost every way. It's full of hits. The rapping is great. The features are great. The choruses are catchy as hell. And the production is out of this world. More of a compilation of experiments than an actual Weeknd album, Starboy is still incredibly entertaining front to back, with a lot of highlights mixed in with some album filler. What holds it back is its length, and a complete lack of cohesiveness that makes this thing feel very disjointed, and encourages me to come back to certain songs a lot while never really feeling the urge to listen to the album the whole way through.
