edit: this is kendricks alt-rock album. there is so much indie rock/r&b feel and sonics to this. with the bass, but a track like pride is quite literally just an indie sound.
this is this pinnacle of new form hip hop, in production, delivery, everything. the sampling in this album is genius, with some amazing vocal sampling. guitar licks, and moving bass lines also appear throughout the project combined with the heard beats and 808. it's fucking great, from the intro to the end. ... read more

I was like damn she cold
I really wanted olivia to graduate from the sort of disney/avril lavigne lyiical motiffs and musical styling. and it doesn't sound like she really has. sour and guts seemed like a great sister albums to leave that behind with, but this song sort of felt like deva vu and drivers license had a baby. and i'm not saying that's bad, I've just moved on from it, and I don't think i'll be tuning in if its just more of that.
